Background

Treetop Custom Woodworking was established in 2020. It is a woman-owned and operated business located in Muskoka, Ontario.

“From an early age, I knew I wanted to be a woodworker and build things. The beauty of taking a piece of wood and sculpting it into something was always a magical thing to me. I enjoy working with the raw natural material of wood. It was once alive and has a story to tell.

I studied Heritage Carpentry and Joinery at Algonquin college where I learned a variety of modern and traditional building methods. This program not only taught me how to build, but it also taught me the value of quality craftsmanship and the ability to create something that future generations can enjoy. “

Sustainability

Our home is facing many environmental challenges, and unsustainably harvested wood is one of those issues. We are reducing our impact on the environment by only using reclaimed, locally, and sustainably sourced wood. We carefully select each piece of wood for our projects.

We have a selection of live edge slabs that we have cut, milled, and dried ourselves.

Tree to Table Service

Tree to Table

We offer a unique service where we can process a log from your property and make it into a custom table or piece of furniture. We cut, mill, and kiln-dry the wood ourselves. Being a part of the whole process creates a special understanding and connection with the wood piece.
